It's been a pretty boring weekend by my 'standards'. No English Premiership or Spanish La Liga matches, few friends around, etc. The Exodus of people from Abuja this weekend is scary. Lol. I can imagine the gridlock on the roads, the crowd at Airports and the attendant stress.
In the midst of my boredom, I've noticed that the political noise on social media has reduced. The euphoria has been replaced by anxiety and sobriety in some cases. Political Party Fanatics have stopped insulting each other. This makes me wonder what's going on in camps of the major contenders. Last minute fine-tuning and dress rehearsals I guess. Some may already be plotting face-saving strategies just in case they lose.
By this time tomorrow, the tension will return as we await the election results. The memories of 2011 are still fresh. Whoever wins sha, make we no fight. The tribunals are there to resolve issues. No go kill yourself for any political party abeg. Our LIVES have just begun. I never see my fine children yet.
On a brighter note, the EPL and La Liga returns next week. As Super Eagles no gree do well yesterday, I trust the European gladiators to give me some drama. For many ladies, no vex, Telemundo returns on Monday. Manage the old episodes on repeat this weekend. Nothing do us. Just keep living and pushing. We'll get there.
