"And God said Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth...........". That's an excerpt from the story of creation.
Most humans, Christians in particular are familiar with the above. It didn't end there. Man was also charged to multiply, replenish the earth and subdue it, and have dominion. The key word here is dominion, a pointer to the authority given to man (males and females, just in case you are gender sensitive).
From the beginning, Man has been God's favourite creature. Even when man FELL, God SAVED him out of LOVE. The father had to send his only son, Jesus to restore man to his former glory. This was achieved at a very great price and sealed with the 'precious blood of the lamb'.
What has happened to mankind? Why does it seem as though the earth now has dominion over man? I only have one explanation -Man has relinquished his authority to the pleasures of the world. Humans have become willing tools in the hands of the devil.
However, there is still hope for mankind. Let's RETRACE our steps and return to the embrace of our creator. No other creature has power over you unless you submit to it. Never forget that 'Man is a god on this planet'. God made us so. Act as such.
