Kogi PDP unhappy with Ocholi's Ministerial portfolio

James Ocholi, Minister Labour and Employment (State)
Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has expressed discontent over the portfolio allocated to the Minister from the state, James Ocholi, by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Expressing the disdain in a statement the Publicity Secretary, Bode Ogunmola, described Ocholi’s portfolio as “humiliating and condescending” to the state, which he said has always gotten more challenging appointments in the past.
Ocholi who performed brilliantly during the ministerial screening in the Senate was on Wednesday assigned the portfolio of junior Minister in the newly reconfigured Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, formerly known as Ministry of Labour and Productivity.
With his appointment, Ocholi would be assisting Anambra State Governor and Senator who represented Anambra South, Chris Ngige in overseeing the ministry.
Ogunmola described the position of junior minister allocated to Kogi State as a “Grade-C if not Grade-D.”
Ocholi, was governorship candidate of the erstwhile Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, in Kogi State during the 2011 election, when Buhari used the platform to pursue his presidential ambition that year.
He also contested the August 2015 primaries of the APC in Kogi State, against eventual winner, Abubakar Audu, two time State Governor.
Nigerians, una dey worry sha. Every single event can be used to generate political capital. All I want is an economic turnaround and efficiency on the part of our Ministers.
