NSE market capitalisation dips further by N75billion

Transactions on the Nigerian Stock Exchange dipped further on Tuesday as the market capitalisation lost N75 billion.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that activities on the NSE have been sliding in the last two days.

The market capitalisation, which opened at N9.563 trillion, lost N75 billion to close at N9.488 trillion.
Also, the All-Share Index lost 223.68 points or 0.80 per cent to close at 27,596.81 from the 27,820.49 achievedon Monday due to price depreciation.
Dangote Cement, one of the most capitalised equities, led the losers’ chart by N4 to close at N154 per share.
Lafarge Africa trailed with a loss of 50k to close at N89, while CAP also lost 50k to close at N38 per share.
Cement Company of Northern Nigeria declined by 40k to close at N7.61, while Oando shed 32k to close at N5.87 per share.
On the other hand, Nestle topped the gainers’ table, appreciating by N1 to close at N808 per share.
Nigerian Breweries chalked up 72k to close at N115.72, while Unilever inched by 64k to close at N37.02 per share.
Presco grew by 50k to close at N31, while NAHCO increased by 18k to close at N3.82 per share.
The volume of shares traded rose by 13.95 per cent as 176.39 million shares worth N3.06 billion were traded in 3,011 deals.
This was in contrast to the 154.79 million shares valued at N2.22 billion exchanged in 2,663 deals on Monday.
GTBank traded 25.38 million shares worth N532.83 million in 293 deals to emerge the most traded stock.
Zenith Bank trailed with 23.73 million shares valued at N379.44 million in 233 deals, while UBA sold 15.52 million shares worth N57.03 million in 160 deals.
FBN Holdings accounted for 15.22 million shares valued at N76 million in 246 deals, while Transcorp traded 11.62 million shares worth N20.41 million shares in 93 deals.
