We live in a strange world. Months ago, the world awoke to news of a grand father's transition to the feminine gender. After spending sixty five years as a male, three marriages with fruits, Bruce decides to become Caitlyn. What an absurdity! His euphoric reception is unbelievable, same applies to the awards for courage. I am yet to fathom why it took him so long and how his family actually feel despite the cosmetic semblance of acceptance.
While the shock was still sinking in, gay marriage was legalised in the entire US. An aberration has become the new 'cool' especially as efforts are made to force this ideology on others. Barely a week later, incest and adultery have been legalised in some other countries. This makes me wonder if bestiality will be legalised soon. How bad will it get? Will we get to a point where heterosexual people are viewed as deviants? Acceptance of these anomalies should not be coerced.
Respect for Human Rights has been put forward to justify some of these acts. The world is still grappling with vices associated with the right to bear arms and it's attendant facilitation of terror in some regions. What should we expect when bestial folks seek an enforcement of their 'fundamental' human rights? I earnestly pray that we are not about to descend a slippery slope. That's one downside associated with setting precedents. The future of the family and mankind by extension is at stake.
What is the fate of an innocent child adopted by gay parents? What happens to infants and children whose parents suddenly decide to become transgenders overnight? What happens when the right to bear arms increasingly puts weapons in the hands of terrorists and mentally unstable individuals? We need to tread carefully. Enforcement of human rights is a noble gesture but there should be limits especially when the common good is threatened. How much longer will our merciful God continue to endure the cruelty of mankind? Your answer is as good as mine. I am eagerly waiting to hear your thoughts on this subject.
Happy Eid El Fitri to my Muslim friends and Muslims all over the world. Let's join hands together to make our world a better place. God Bless us all.
