DE GEA WOULDN'T START FOR REAL MADRID -DAVID JAMES

The former England goalkeeper believes competition for a starting spot with Keylor Navas swayed the United stopper's decision to remain at Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United’s David de Gea would not get into Real Madrid’s team, according to former goalkeeper David James.

The Spain stopper was heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu all summer before his expected return to La Liga fell apart in an error-strewn transfer deadline day for United and the Madrid giants.

He also stated that not all the minister nominees that have been screened will have portfolio, adding that he will reduce the number of ministries. FAMILY VS WORK

A little message I want to share with you all tonight. This was sent to me by one of my favourite Aunts. Read and learn.

I banged into a stranger as he passed by. 'Oh excuse me please' was my response. He said, 'Please excuse me too; I couldn't see you coming.' We were very polite, this stranger and I. We said goodbye and went on our way .

FOOTBALL QUESTIONS

Has the self acclaimed Special One been transformed to the 'clueless one' or a 'Specialist in failure'? Has Mourinho lost his touch or are the EPL gods angry with him? Will Hazaard rediscover his form or has he been jinxed by Mou's effrontery to compare him with CR7? This weekend will tell. Klopp, have mercy. LOL.

Will LVG's strange philosophy yield results for Manchester United this season or is the result against Boro a sign of what is to come? Is there any hope for a trophy parade at Old Trafford this season or will there be an extension to the two seasons drought? Are we about to see Rooney or Martial deployed as midfielders? LOL. Expect answers soon.

Will Wenger get it right in the EPL this season? Can the Gunners conquer Bayern Munich once again? Will there be another miraculous escape for Arsenal in the UCL this season? Can Sanchez, Cech, Koscielny et al fire Arsenal to major honours this season? We'll find out in a matter of weeks.

Will the imminent return of Bale, Benz and James give added impetus to Madrid's strike force? Can Keylor Navas keep up with his exceptional performances and lead Madrid to another Liga title or/and la undecima? Will CR7 give us another 50 plus goals season? Can Suarez and Neymar continue to hold the forte in Messi's absence? Who will emerge victorious at the Classicos this season or will ATM sneak in to win once again? Time will tell.

IS MOURINHO'S TIME UP?

The League Cup has usually served as the start of something for Jose Mourinho and Chelsea but this time, following the defeat to Stoke City on penalties, it could be closing in on the end. There cannot be many more chances left for the Portuguese manager at Stamford Bridge.

PREPARE FOR HARD TIMES -PMB

This is another interesting post I found online. Read and be duly informed.

President Muhammadu Buhari has admitted administrative measures put in place within his five months in power have been injurious to businesses in Nigeria.
Buhari made this known in New Delhi, India claiming that such critical measures would in the long run sustain the economic growth of the nation.
“We are aware some of these measures may hurt operations of some businesses in the short term, but we believe they are right for a sustainable economy,” the President said.
Although Buhari has not shown any coherent economic direction since the inception of his government, it is believed that more sectors are bound to suffer imminently.
In particular the Banking Sector is poised in a precarious situation. This sector has been in the news in recent months as a result of the implementation of the Treasury Single Account, TSA.
Commercial banks have been mandated to sweep up government funds from every nook and cranny of all Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies into a central purse.
As aesthetic as it is the initiative sans palliative measures to cushion its effects have sparked job losses at these banks.

WHY WE WALKED OUT -PDP SENATORS

I'm neither a Politician nor a Lawyer. However, as a rational observer and a concerned citizen, there's some sense in this. I found this article on 'post-nigeria.com' and thought I should share. Read, make your deductions and drop your comments.

Senators of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has stated why they staged a walkout following the confirmation of former Rivers Governor, Rotimi Amaechi as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria against the recommendations of the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions.

The PDP Senators exited the Senate Chamber moments before Bukola Saraki confirmed Amaechi’s nomination.
In a briefing with pressmen, Senate Minority Leader Godswill Akpabio said there was nothing wrong if Amaechi’s confirmation was suspended as recommended by the Ethics Committee, pending when issues against him were cleared.

He expressed disappointment in the members of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, saying that the PDP would not be part of any action against the Nigerian people and the constitution.

Akpabio stated that it was embarrassing and shameful for the country to watch the Senate in chaos over issues of such importance.

“The issues brought against the nominee were issues that were brought upon the Senate.
“The majority party felt there was no need to comply with the law and it would have been a good idea to allow the Senate to go into the matter and we will not partake in that type of thing.”

The PDP Senators earlier in an argument with the APC, also pointed out that such moves were against the promise of the party to the Nigerian people to fight corruption. They said the ruling party had chosen to boycott due process against the wish of the Nigerian people.
Committee Chairman, Sam Anyanwu, was adamant despite obvious dissent from APC Senators that as long as the case against Amaechi was still in court there was no logical or legal basis to consider confirming the former Governor’s nomination.

Despite the obvious lack of a consensus agreement amongst the lawmakers, the Senate confirmed the 17 remaining nominees for appointment as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

MONKEY GIST

This is a funny but enlightening story I found online.

In Zimbabwe, a man appeared and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $20.00 each. The villagers seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at $20.00, and as supply started to diminish, the villagers reduced their effort.
He further announced that he would now buy at $30.00. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms.

SMART OLD MAMA

A lady decided to give herself a big treat for her 90th birthday by staying overnight in a really nice luxurious hotel. ‎When she checked out the next morning, the desk clerk handed her a bill for $250.00. She demanded to know why the charge was so high "I agree it's a nice hotel, but the rooms aren't worth $250..00 for just an overnight stay - I didn't even have breakfast!"

The clerk told her that $250.00 is the 'standard rate,' and breakfast had been included had she wanted it.
She insisted on speaking to the Manager.
The Manager appeared and, forewarned by the desk clerk, announced: "This hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference center which are available for use." "But I didn't use them." ''Well, they are here, and you could have."

He went on to explain that she could also have seen one of the in-hotel shows for which they were so famous.
"We have the best entertainers from all over the world performing here." ‎"But I didn't go to any of those shows.." She Pleaded. ‎"Well, we have them, and you could have." was the reply.
No matter what amenity the Manager mentioned, she replied, ‎"But I didn't use it!" and the Manager countered with his ‎standard response.

After several minutes discussion, and with the Manager still unmoved, she decided to pay, wrote a check and gave it to him. ‎The Manager was surprised when he looked at the check. ‎"But Madam, this check is for only $50.00" "That's correct" she replied "I charged you $200.00 for sleeping with me." ‎"But I didn't sleep with you madam!" said the manager. ‎"Well, too bad, I was here, and you could have‎.

Pretty Smart. Goodnight world

HONESTY PAYS, HOLD ON

I just saw this nice story with a wonderful lesson and thought to share it with you, please enjoy:
An ageing King realised that if he died he has no one to take over the throne. He decided to adopt a son. He launched a competition and 10 boys made it to the top. The King said to them, "I have one last test and whoever comes top will become my adopted son and heir to my throne".
He gave each boy a seed of corn and told them to take the seed home, plant and nurture it for 3 weeks. The 10 boys took their seeds and ran home to plant their seeds. In one home, the boy and his parents were sad when the seed failed to sprout. The boy had done everything but he failed. His friends advised him to buy a seed and plant it but his God fearing parents who had always taught him honesty refused.
The day came and the 10 boys went to the palace. All the 9 boys were successful. The King went to each boy asking – “Is that what came out of the seed I gave you?" And each boy said "Yes, your majesty". The King would nod and move down the line until the last boy in the line who was shaking with fear.
The King asked him - "What did you do with the seed I gave you?" The boy said "I planted it and cared for it your majesty but it failed to sprout." The King went to the throne with the boy and said, "I gave these boys boiled seeds and a boiled seed cannot sprout.
If a King must have one quality, it must be honesty and only this boy passed the test.” We live in a society where people will do anything for success. God sometimes does not give us things because He wants to teach us a lesson.
How many people out there have achieved success the wrong way? How many people send their children to expensive schools and build houses, buy expensive cars with stolen money?
How many people are occupying top positions yet they stole the certificates? How many people are successful out there at all costs?
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE CROWNED AS KINGS IN HEAVEN FOR BEING FAITHFUL UNTIL THE END? I PRAY THAT I BE FAITHFUL TILL THE END!!!
Please be faithful to God no matter what life throws at you, even if life gives you boiled seed‎s

LIFE LESSONS

70%    70%    70%    70%    70%

When we die, our money remains in the bank... Yet, when we are alive, we don't have enough money to spend. In reality, when we are gone, there is still a lot of money not spent. One business tycoon in China passed away. His widow, left with $1.9 billion in the bank, married his chauffeur. His chauffeur said:- ‎"All the while, I thought I was working for my boss... it is only now, that I realise that my boss was all the time, working for me !!!"

The cruel reality is: I‎t is more important to live longer than to have more wealth. So, we must strive to have a strong and healthy body, It really doesn't matter who is working for who. ‎In a high end hand phone, 70% of the functions are useless! ‎For an expensive car, 70% of the speed and gadgets are not needed. ‎If you own a luxurious villa or mansion, 70% of the space is usually not used or occupied.
How about your wardrobes of clothes? ‎70% of them are not worn!

A whole life of work and earning... ‎70% is for other people to spend. ‎So, we must protect and make ‎good use of our 30%.‎Go for medical check-ups even if not sick. ‎Drink more water, even if not thirsty. ‎Learn to let go, even if faced with‎ grave problems. ‎Endeavour to give in, even if you are in the right. ‎Remain humble, even if you are very rich and powerful. ‎Learn to be contented, even if you are not rich.
Exercise your mind and body, even if you are very busy.
Make time for people you care about

LIFE IS SHORT...
ENJOY & LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST!!!

AVOID JUMPING INTO CONCLUSIONS

A dog was so faithful that a woman could leave her baby with it to attend to other matters. She always returned to find the child soundly asleep with the dog faithfully watching over him. ‎One day, something tragic happened.

The woman as usual left the baby in the "hands" of the dog and went shopping. When she returned, she discovered a rather nasty scene. There was a little mess..  .. The baby's cot was dismantled, his nappies and clothes torn to shreads with blood stains all over the bedroom where she left the baby wit the dog. Shocked, the woman wailed as she began looking for the baby. All of a sudden, she saw the faithful dog emerging from under d bed.

It was covered with blood and licking its mouth as it just finished a delicious meal. The woman went berserk and assumed that the dog had devoured her baby. Without much thought, she beat the dog to death with wood. But as she continued searching for the remains of her child, she beheld another scene. Close to the bed was the baby who although lying on bare floor was safe and under the bed. The body of a snake torn into pieces in what must have been a fierce battle with the dog.

Reality now dawned on the woman who now began to understand what took place in her absence. The dog fought to protect the baby from the ravenous snake. ‎It was too late for her to make amends because in her impatience and anger she killed d faithful dog.
How often have we misjudged people and torn them to pieces wit harsh words and deeds before we have time to evaluate d situation.‎ Don't take important decisions in anger and avoid jumping into conclusions
