MAKING YOUR PARTNER YOUR BEST FRIEND

‎A relationship isn't a relationship until you are with your friend.

Some say love brings people together but friendship keeps them forever. 
Attraction is good, romance even better but how long can these sustain if you aren't with a friend?

Love they say never dies but like a plant, it has to be nurtured to get the best out of it. If studied closely, you will realise that those who make their lovers their best friends then to have a healthier relationship because where love fails friendship bridges. 


There are numerous ways to achieve this which I know works for a lot of people.

1. Be a playmate as well as a confidant.
2. Be approachable 
Don't be the kind whose 1st reaction is to blow alarm. Apply wisdom.
3. Understand their immediate need.
At every moment people's need vary. Don't start undressing when he/she just wants to talk.

4. Be a counsellor not a judge.
They probably have everyone out there judging for a past they want to forget. They don't want that too with you.
5. Be real. This is probably one of the most difficult to see these days. Relationships just like many other things today has become business. It's only about what you can get out of it. A secure future, lovely looking kids, large bank account, best cars bla bla bla....all these are beautiful to have but remember you can't pretend for ever. Let your partner meet the real you and give them a chance to get to know who you really are. 
6. An adage says "a mother who beats a child with the right hand would draw him closer with the left"
Love them unconditionally. 
Be there no matter how busy you get.
Be some1 to can always count on.
Never disappoint them.
Don't break their trust.
Do not test them. It always backfires 
7. Support their dreams.
Making sacrifices for those you love will draw them closer to you. The little effort. We make is what keeps them coming back.
8. Last but not least, know when they need their space. Everyone needs a "ME" time now & then, don't always be in their faces.
