You bestrode the earth like the god you were, fearless and dogged in all your pursuits. You were a survivor. From a dog bite as a little boy, to 8 gunshots in the line of duty (for refusing to cover up a fraud), to numerous car crashes (including the 1996 sommersault), you survived it all. When God felt the world had become too evil for one of his bravest warriors, he called you home to prevent contamination.

REWIND...... That earth shattering call by 3:45am, 7th October, 2016, 'Okey, hold yourself, your daddy has stopped breathing.' It sounded like a rude joke at first but as the clock ticked and the seconds passed, it became evident that 'my best flatmate ever' had gone to be with the Lord and wasn't coming back. THE ONLY BIG FISH had to bow to the KING OF KINGS. My world went blank, I was numb for hours. I just couldn't fathom how you could go without telling YOUR BOY goodbye. Life has been a wild ride since then but I'm comforted  by the fact that you lived a good life, touched many hearts and are smiling down on us from the bosom of our Lord, Jesus. We are coping well. The void is large but God has filled it.

While the earth mourned your departure, the heavens rejoiced at your grand entry. You left peacefully and asked God to TAKE CONTROL. That Divine control and peace permeates every aspect of our lives. IN MY HEART, YOU ARE IMMORTAL. We miss your profound humility, unassuming nature, welcoming demeanor and wide array of friends (including the lowly and children). You were generous to a fault and had a great dedication to God. Jealously watch over your station (US) from the bosom of Christ.

One memory is evergreen in my head. During my job hunt travails, after being bounced by some multinationals due to the renowned 9JA FACTOR, I asked you why A NATIONAL JETS Bronze medalist and an Academic Champion of Akwa Ibom (LEMME BLOW MY TRUMPET A BIT) should struggle to get decent jobs. Your response was legendary -You are one of the best untainted brains left in Nigeria. Focus on excellence, when it's your time, your brilliance will pave the way for you. Coming from a retired Human Resource man, that was a huge inspiration. I miss our Sports, Policy, Religious and Politics discussions. You raised me to be a Brave Soldier amid Life's battles and that has helped me adapt. Even in death, you are still my WINGMAN. I couldn't have asked for a better dad. I feel blessed to have been your flatmate for your last five years. WE MISS YOU

The body of a young woman who was found murdered with her private parts removed, has been discovered by Policemen in Mmakaunyane, North West South Africa, whom are trying to identify who the deceased is.

CBN in a circular released on Friday, April 21, directed banks to revert to old charges and refund customers who had been debited - CBN said the existing policy before the announcement of the new policy shall remain in place in Lagos, Ogun, Kano, Abia, Anambra, Rivers and Abuja The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has suspended the implementation of cashless policy. 

CBN in a circular released on Friday, April 21, directed banks to revert to old charges and refund customers who had been debited. The circular signed by Dipo Fatokun, director, banking and payments system department, CBN said the existing policy before the announcement of the new policy shall remain in place in Lagos, Ogun, Kano, Abia, Anambra, Rivers and Abuja.

 The circular reads:“You will recall that a directive was issued on the nationwide implementation of the cashless policy vide our circulars with reference numbers BPS/DIR/GEN/CIR/04/001 dated February 21 and BPS/DIR/GEN/CIR/04/002 dated March 16.” “Please note that the new withdrawal and deposit processing fee charges above the threshold, as contained in the circulars referenced above, are hereby suspended until further notice. The position of the policy shall now revert to the status quo ante.” “The new policy already applied effective April 1, 2017 as contained in the circulars in reference above should be reversed and the old charges be applied. All necessary refunds should be made accordingly.” NAIJ.com previously reported that in 2012, the CBN introduced a cashless policy programme, which was first introduced as a pilot scheme in Lagos. The policy stipulated a ‘cash handling charge’ on daily cash withdrawals that exceed 500,000 naira for individuals and 3,000,000 naira for corporate bodies. This was under the leadership of the leadership of the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido. Florida woman enslaved a woman for two years and tried to impregnate her with boyfriend's sperm

Esthela Clark, 47, paid $3,000 to bring another woman, 22, from Mexico, she held her captive in her home in Jacksonville, Florida and then tried to impregnate her with her boyfriend's sperm. 

The Mexican woman, whose name was not given, revealed to federal agents that Esthela did all sorts of horrible things to her.
She said that Esthela forbade her from leaving her one-bedroom condominium, telling her that the neighborhood was dangerous and she would most likely get killed if she went out. She also told her that she would find out if she tried to hide anything from her because she reads Tarot cards. 

SENATE SUSPENDS ALI NDUME FOR SIX MONTHS

The senate on Wednesday suspended senator Muhammed Ali Ndume for six months by the Senate over his allegations against Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki and Senator Dino Melaye.
Senator Ali, was found guilty of not “making due diligence” before filing a petition against the Saraki and Melaye.

Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions made the recommendation in its report, which was considered by the lawmakers at the plenary on Wednesday.

Saraki denies EFCC’s claim that he used his aides to launder N3.5 billion Paris Club Loan Refund

The EFCC has reportedly indicted the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and some of his aides in the alleged laundering of up to N3.5 billion from the Paris Club Loan Refund.

According to Channels TV, a source at the antigraft agency says investigation by some of its officials have revealed that some persons with close links to Saraki were used to launder N3.5 billion from the paris club refund.

CYNTHIA OSOKOGU'S MURDERERS SENTENCED TO DEATH

Justice finally had it’s way as a Lagos State High Court in Igbosere sentenced to death Okwumo Nwabufo and Olisaeloka Ezike who were charged with the murder of a postgraduate student of Nasarawa State University, Cynthia Osokogu.

The deceased was murdered by the convicts on July 22, 2012 at Cosmilla Hotel, Lake View Estate, Festac Town, Lagos.

WHY SENATE REJECTED 82 YEAR OLD AMBASSADORIAL NOMINEE

The 82-year-old retired judicial officer, Justice Sylvanus Nsofor,  who told a Senate panel that Information Technology was not meant for people of his age and failed to recite the National Anthem, yesterday, had his nomination to be an ambassador rejected by the Senate.

A Ugandan High school student took his own life after he was dumped by his girlfriend.

BOKO HARAM KINGPIN ARRESTED IN EKITI'

A suspected Boko Haram kingpin, Adenoyi Abdulsalam, has been arrested by a joint team of the Department of State Services and the military in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

A statement issued by an operative of the service in Abuja on Wednesday, Mr Tony Opuiyo, said that an Ak-47 rifle was recovered from the suspect who is presently undergoing investigation.

Opuiyo added that the suspect was in the final stages of kidnapping some high-level targets in Ekiti to raise funds and terrorise communities in the state.

FOOD PRICES TO REDUCE AS NAIRA MAKES MASSIVE GAINS
